Pour accéder aux bonus cachés du second disque du DVD édition collector, voici les manipulations à effectuer sur une platine de salon :

1er bonus :
• Allez dans la section Documentaries.
• Appuyez sur Play all, à la fin de la lecture de la totalité des documentaires (crédits inclus), le menu revient à l'écran. Positionner le curseur sur Subtitles.
• Appuyez sur bas avec les flêches de votre télécommande, rien ne se passe, appuyez sur gauche avec les flêches de votre télécommande.

Dans "Pride (In The Of Love)", avant que Bono ne dise "we're here to make love", il s'énerve en fait sur quelqu'un qui joue depuis le début du concert avec un rayon-laser. On peut le voir le rayon passer sur Bono sur la vidéo. Avant de dire "We're to make love", Bono dit en vérité "Get the light out ouf my face, you with the red fire-fly, or whatever you're playing with" (passage coupé sur la vidéo). Par ailleurs, Edge se plante comme un sourd à la reprise de la guitare au milieu du titre. Par la magie de la table de mixage, un copié-collé subtile s'est ajouté à la vidéo finale. Cela dit, on peut entendre que la fausse note résonne quand même.

Au début de "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For", Bono dit "We nearly lost a brother last night" : Après le concert à Mexico de la veille, il y a eu un incident mettant en cause le chef de la sécurité de U2, Jerry Mele, et des fils du Président mexicain Ernesto Zedillo. Selon ce que l'on raconte, des gardes du corps protégeant les fils de Zedillo tentèrent de quitter le concert par un secteur restreint et cela se conclut dans une bagarre avec des équipes TV qui utilisaient des équipements lourds dans ce secteur. Pendant que les fils du President partaient en voiture, Jerry Mele a essayé de les obliger à s'arrêter en se mettant devant leur voiture. Ils ont refusé de s'arrêter, accélérant lentement jusqu'à ce que Jerry Mele ait été renversé par la voiture. L'accident a laissé Jerry Mele avec des blessures graves. C'est la dernière tournée de U2 (qui a fini 9 jours plus tard) pour laquelle il a travaillé.

Dans "Bullet the blue sky", après le passage "outside it's America", Bono s'est amusé a ajouter des paroles de "America" (West Side Story) - ce qu'on peut déjà entendre sur Under A Blood Red Sky ("lalalalala America..."). U2 n'ayant pas reçu les droits, on coupa ces paroles au montage (cela dit, en poussant le volume à fond, on entends l'écho).

La danseuse du ventre que l'on peut voir sur l'écran pendant le remix de "Lemon" (durant l'interlude du concert) est... un homme appelé Leigh Bowery, décédé depuis.

Ce sont les latitudes et longitudes de diverses villes sur la planète. 53.3333N / 06.2500W = Dublin, 51.4833N / 00.0000W = London, 42.3500N / 71.0500W = Boston, et 40.7166N / 74.0000W = New York . La plupart des coordonnées correspondant à des villes où l'Elevation Tour est passé.

Voici les bonus cachés de ce DVD :

Disc 1 : A la fin du "Making of", quand le logo de Dreamchaser apparaît, on peut voir une image de Bono avec ses lunettes de "The Fly". Cliquer rapidement. Sur l'écran qui apparaît tapez sur les touches 1, 9, 7, 6 (puis enter ou OK selon le type de lecteur). Et voici "Elevation" vue avec la Bono-cam.
Autre manière d'accéder à ce bonus : lorsque le DVD se lance, appuyer sur Stop puis sur la touche Display (ou Title) et lancez le 3° titre.

Sur la boîte du DVD, on peut lire qu'il s'agit du concert du 6 juin 2001. Mais plusieurs détails nous montrent qu'en fait il s'agit d'un mix des 5, 6 et 9 juin :

• Les images du groupe et le son de "Elevation" sont ceux du concert du 5 juin, le public a été filmé le 6 juin. Les images de la Bono-cam proviennent du concert du 9 juin, le seul soir à Boston où Bono portait une mini-caméra attachée à ses lunettes.

• L'intro de "Kite" vient du concert du 6 juin, le reste de la chanson a été interprétée la veille.

• "Gone" est un mix des 2 dates : The Edge a donné le coup de pied dans sa guitare le 5 juin. D'ailleurs si on regarde le concert sur le second disque depuis la cabine du réalisateur, on bascule quelques instants sur la camera située dans le public à la fin de la chanson puis on revient dans la cabine.

• "Stay (Far Away, So Close!)" n'a pas été jouée le 6 juin, elle a été enregistée le 5.

• "Where the Streets Have No Name" a bien été filmé le 6 juin bien que le passage où Bono dit "going live to the NBA" a été supprimé, ainsi que les images où on le voit mimer un joueur de basket-ball et lancer un ballon dans la foule (des images de Bono du 5 juin ont été insérés à ce moment là), mais on peut quand même les voir avec la camera située dans le public. On peut même l'entendre dire la phrase supprimée ainsi que dans la cabine du réalisateur.

Sur le bonus "Elevation from Miami", les images proviennent bien du concert de Fort Lauderdale, mais le son est celui d'un autre concert... qui reste à déterminer.

Selon des témoigagnes de personnes ayant assisté au concert, The Edge donnent des coups de pied à sa guitare à la fin de "Gone" parce qu'il n'était pas content que Larry termine la chanson plus tôt que ce qu'il avait prévu. Après l'incident on a pu voir The Edge échanger quelques mots avec Larry.

La chanson que l'on peut entendre juste avant "Bullet The Blue Sky" s'appelle "Let's Have Church" et elle est interpétée par The Original Five Blind Boys et non les Blind Boys of Alabama comme indiqué dans le générique du DVD. Voici les paroles que l'on entend :

Le second bonus caché est accessible sur tout type de lecteur. Il faut se rendre du l'écran de présentation de "Last Night On Earth" (dans les Bonus Tracks) et à l'aide de votre souris ou de votre télécomande, cliquez sur la deuxième image à gauche en partant du bas. (Pour les lecteurs de DVD de salon, en partant du nom du réalisateur, appuyez deux fois sur la flèche du haut (▲) puis deux fois sur la flèche du bas (▼) puis OK. Vous pourrez voir une très courte vidéo en hommage à William Burroughs, écrivain américain qui influenca Bono, le vieil homme qui apparait à la fin du clip. Il est mort peu de temps après le tournage.

A la fin de "Elevation", Bono crie "Elevation, Jubilation, Jubilation" ce qui fait certainement référence à Jubilee 2000 la campagne pour l'annulation de la dette du Tiers Monde.

Pendant "New Year's Day", en se drappant d'un drapeau irlandais Bono prononce ces mots : "Maybe just once, just once... Close your eyes and imagine, it's Jason Mcateer", Jason Mcateer est le joueur de football irlandais qui marqua un but contre les Pays-Bas ce jour là (1er septembre 2001). Ce qui permis à son équipe de se qualifier pour la Coupe du Monde. Durant la journée, la seconde mi-temps du match avait été retransmise sur les écrans de Slane Castle.

Au début de "Out of Control" , Bono dit "I want to thank Phillip Lynott for letting us open the show" en référence au premier concert à Slane de U2 pendant les années 80.

Ensuite, toujours pendant "Out of Control", Bono présente le groupe : "On the bass, from Malahide, Adam Clayton, On the drums, from the Artane Boys Band, Larry Mullen Junior." La famille d'Adam emménagea à  Malahide lorsqu'il avait 5 ans et il y resta jusqu'à l'age de 8 ans. Larry fit ses premiers concerts en jouant de la batterie au sein du groupe des travailleurs des services postaux et brièvement pour le Artane Boy's Band.

Lors du pont de "Sunday Bloody Sunday", Bono hurle "No Paratroops, No petrol bomb, No Saracens, No UDA, No IRA". En 1972, les parachutistes britanniques ont fait feu sur une foule des manifestants et ont tué 13 civils lors de ce qui allait être appelé le Bloody Sunday par la presse. Une "petrol bomb" est une sorte de coktail molotv. Les Saracens sont les tanks qui transportent les troupes britanniques. La UDA est l'Association de la Defense de l'Ulster, le plus grand groupe paramilitaire de l'Irlande du Nord. Et l'IRA est le célébre mouvement séparatiste irlandais.
A la fin de "Sunday Bloody Sunday", Bono parle des victimes de l'attentant à la voiture piégée dans une rue commerçante de Omagh (Irlande du Nord) qui fit 29 morts et 220 blessés le 15 août 1998, les noms des victimes avaient été lus à la radio et on en retrouve quelques uns dans les paroles de "Peace on Earth".

A la fin de "Angel Of Harlem", Bono dit "Angel of Dorset Street", cette rue est située non loin du quartier où il vécut durant son enfance (Cedarwood Road).

Lors du set acoustique, après "Desire", Bono ramasse un ballon de plage et donne un coup de pied pour le renvoyer dans le public. Ensuite il dit à The Edge : "Was a bit GAA was it? That was a bit GAA." La GAA est l'Association Athlétique Gaélique dont le sport principale est le football mais surtout qui abrite le Artane Boys Band dont nous parlions un peu plus haut.
