Le site U2wanderer a même retranscript le speech d'acceptation de Bono et de The Edge :
Bono: "That's really really fucking brilliant and really really great. And y'know there's a lot of songs in films, and some great songs, and a couple of U2 songs, but not often are the songs come out the characters and out of the story of the film. This comes out of a conversation I had with Martin Scorsese over ten years ago, and Harvey Wienstein banging and saying you gotta do this. It's really a very very special night for our band. Would you say something the Edge, please?"
Edge: "I just want to say that the films of Martin Scorsese made a massive impact on us growing up in Dublin in the 70s. It's such a priviledge to be a small part in one of his movies. And to Harvey for poutting it together, thank you so much. Thank you to the Hollywood Foreign press."
